Yesterday was the 33rd annual Tawes Clam Bake in Crisfield and the Wicomico County Democratic Club wants to thank everyone that came by our tent. Our tent was visited by many state and local officials including:
Governor Martin O'Malley
Lt. Governor Anthony Brown
Comptroller Peter Franchot
Appropriations Committee Chairman Norm Conway
Delegate Jim Mathias
Delegate Murray Levy
Delegate John Wood
Salisbury Mayor Jim Ireton
Wicomico County Executive Rick Pollitt
Wicomico County Councilman David MacLeod
Wicomico County Councilwoman Sheree Sample-Hughes
Salisbury City Councilman Gary Comegys
as well as representatives for Senators Barbara Mikulski and Ben Cardin and Congressman Frank Kratovil. We were also joined in our tent by several members of the state Democratic Party, and Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack commander and Chair of the Wicomico County Democratic Central Committee Ernie Leatherbury.
The crabs were hot, the beverages were cold, and the company was great. Thanks to everyone who made this great day possible and we look forward to seeing everyone next month for our crab feast.
